Development and Mainstreaming of Poor Families Is Govt.s Top Priority : CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is the top priority of the government to bring into the mainstream all those who have remained deprived of economic development. He said that no one will remain deprived. Shri Chouhan was laying foundation of sanctioned development works worth Rs. 35 crore 45 lakh in Umaria today.

The Chief Minister said that Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of housing units for at least 500 poor families in Umaria.  He said that over 42 thousand poor families occupying lands for years have been made land owner by giving them land lease.The next step is to facilitate them from well-constructed houses. He announced to construct fully equipped Town Hall at Umaria and stadium at Loharganj. Further, he added that the upgradtion of Graduation College to P.G. College will be done in the next academic session.

The Chief Minister urged the tribal families to ensure that their children are educated and the youth take advantage of a number of schemes launched for them. They can start their own business taking multiple benefits.

The Chief Minister said that Krishi Upaj Mandi will have to leave possession in favour of the poor families on such pieces of land occupied by them for long.

Minister in-charge for Umaria district Shri Omprakash Dhurve, Minister for SC and ST Welfare Shri Gyan Singh were present.

Barbspur To Be sub-tehsil

The Chief Minister addressing a public gathering at Barbaspur said that it will soon become sub tehsil and Saraswahi will have a higher secondary school from the next academic session.

The Chief Minister said that 191 tribal families of Barbspur will be given the land ownership titles. He distributed land titles to Shri Premlal, Ram Lal Babu, Sukku, Tillu. Shri Chouhan honoured the family of BSF Jawan Satyendra Singh who laid his life for the nation.
