Culture Minister Receives Sanskriti Bhushan Samman

Bhopal  — Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma was conferred with the Sanskriti Bhushan Samman at the regional convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan in the state capital on Sunday.  Several litterateurs and art critics were also honoured.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma described litterateurs as men of deed, discharging their responsibility of awakening the society through their creative work.

He underlined that the state government was committed to the protection of arts and litterateurs and highlighted the considerable increase in the budget of Department of Culture.

On the occasion, Dr. Moolaram Joshi and Dr. Suryaprakash Chaturvedi were conferred with the Saraswati Samman while Dr. Ram Krishna Saraf, Dr. Sharad Pagare, Dr. B Maria Kumar recie\vedd the  Bharat Bhasha Bhushan Samman.

The Dr. Chandra Prakash Verma Shreshth Sadhana Samman was awarded to Dr. Veerendra Singh and Kamalkant Saxena.

Various other awards were also presented on the occasion.

President of Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan Moolaram Joshi lauded efforts made by the Madhya Pradesh government in the spheres of literature and culture.
