Congress not ready to go easy on Ujjain temple idol issue

Opposition parties in Madhya Pradesh are attacking the government after the idols of seven sages were broken due to strong winds in Ujjain’s Mahakal Lok 4 days ago. According to former minister Sajjan Singh Verma, who was included in the investigation team of Congress with experts, there was large-scale corruption in the idols installed in Mahakal Lok, Bhopal to complain about the disturbance in Mahakal Lok to Nandi Baba and Lord Mahakal A team of Congress spokespersons left for Ujjain.

Congress spokesperson Siddharth Singh Rajawat said that the lies of maternal uncle have been exposed for the last 18 years. If these people cheat God, then how will they leave humans? He didn’t spare even Mahakal. The idols of Sapta Rishi fell in the air at a speed of 40 km and broke. All of us Congress spokespersons will gather together and go to Nandi ji’s ears and pray that he destroys the pride of the arrogant government. And we will make an application for the people who are suffering somewhere and will give it at the feet of Mahakal. Because police money and administration belong to them only, no one has any hearing. Today the public is not being heard. Opposition is not being heard. These people are doing their own thing. For this reason we are going to request Mahakal.

The Congress investigation team had taken sculptors and technical experts with them to Mahakal Lok as experts. After the investigation, former ministers Sajjan Singh Verma and Shobha Ojha held a press conference in Bhopal on Wednesday. Accusing the BJP government of corruption, Verma said that substandard Chinese sheets have been used to make these idols.

Former minister Sajjan Singh Verma said- On September 4, 2018, the then Shivraj government had planned tender number 52/ USCL/ 1819. Its estimated cost was 97 crore 71 lakh. After the Congress government came to power, the then Chief Minister Kamal Nath increased this amount to Rs 300 crore. The Congress government had issued its work order on March 7, 2019.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said – Lord Mahakal is the center of faith of the entire Hindu society. Idols of Sapta Rishi fell in Mahakal Lok. Now the news of damage to other idols is also coming to the fore. The attitude of the Shivraj government seems to be to completely cover up the matter.

Instead of conducting an independent and fair inquiry into the matter, the ministers of the Shivraj government are giving a clean chit to their government. The Congress party has already made its stand clear that the Mahakal Lok scam should be investigated by a sitting High Court judge. If the government does not accept this demand of the Congress, then a clear message will be sent to the public that Shivraj government’s mentality is to hurt the faith of Hindus and give full protection to the scamsters.

For the strength of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) idols, an internal structure of iron is made, but this internal structure of steel was not made in the idols of Mahakal Lok. The thickness of the net used in the making of idols should be of 1200 to 1600 grams GSM, but only 150 to 200 grams GSM Chinese net was used in the idols installed in Mahakal Lok.

The idols were attached to cement on a 10 feet high pedestal without a foundation. For this reason, the idols fell and got damaged in the light wind blowing at 30 km per hour.

Tender condition number 2 which is mentioned on page number 107, in which there are clear instructions that a material testing laboratory was to be set up at the site itself to check the quality of the idols. This lab was not made.
