Collectors to review text-books’ distribution in districts

Bhopal: The state government has directed all collectors to review text-books’ distribution. They have been asked to ensure that surplus text-books in development blocks, Jan Shiksha Kendras and schools should be re-distributed to needy schools and development blocks as per requirement. If demand exists even then, demand letters in prescribed proforma should be sent.

Referring to directives of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during “School Chalen Ham Abhiyan”, it has been directed to ensure distribution of free of cost text-books in all government schools. It should also be ascertained that all children have received books concerning them.

It is noteworthy that text-books of class I to VIII have already been made available to block resource centres for distribution in government primary and middle schools, registered madarsas and shalas registered with Sanskrit Board. Books have been distributed with opening of schools in June.
