CM undertakes aerial survey of flood-affected areas

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan undertook aerial survey of flood-affected areas in the state for about 5 and half hours today. He took stock of flood situation of Hoshangabad, Sehore, Raisen, Harda, Dewas, Khargone, Barwani and Khandwa districts in 3 phases. He was accompanied by Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram and DGP Shri Nandan Dube.

Following aerial survey, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called a meeting of officers again at the state hangar. He directed to shift people from affected villages to relief camps and make proper food arrangements for them. He said that constant watch on the situation should be maintained. It was informed that first Army team has arrived for relief and rescue works. Besides, 3 thousand Home Guard personnel have also been deployed. Two helicopters of Air Force have also been requisitioned. It was informed that 12 villages in Harda district have been affected and 200 people have been placed in relief camp. Similarly, 5000 people of 25 affected villages in Hoshangabad have been brought to relief camps. Nine villages in Dewas district and 12 villages of Sehore district are affected by heavy rains. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has urged all MLAs and public representatives to cooperate in relief operations
