CM performs Bhumi Poojan of Jobat irrigation expansion project

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed Bhumi Poojan of the expansion project at village Waskel in Alirajpur district today. The project to be constructed by at a cost of Rs. 156 crore 58 lakh by Narmada Valley Development Authority will create 10 thousand hectare irritation potential. The Chief Minister also dedicated a Rs. 19 crore 81 lakh project for supply of 27 lakh litres drinking water daily to Alirajpur city.

At Waskel, the Chief Minister announced to link all Majra-Tolas of Alirajpur district with pucca roads and electricity lines in next 3 years, upgradation and increase in number of beds in sub-health centre to Nanpur Gram Panchayat, community hall and boundary of Mandi premises at Chhaktala Gram Panchayat, ashram shalas for boys and girls at village Fata and making available irrigation in 500 hectares again by renovating Vaigda lake and canals.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will bear fee of all reserved class students who get admission in engineering, medical, CLAT and IIT. The Chief Minister administered pledge to people to send their children to school regularly.

The Chief Minister said that in view of uneven land, pipelines will be laid to reach water to every field through lift irrigation scheme. Its beginning has been made with Bhumi Poojan of Maa Narmada Link Lift Irrigation Project and Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad micro irrigation expansion project.

In-charge minister of the district and Labour Minister Shri Antar Singh Arya, MLA Shri Nagar Singh Chouhan, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Anita Chouhan and Principal Secretary NVDA Shri Rajneesh Vaish were also present.
