CM Celebrates Rangpanchmi, Birthday

Bhopal  —  Political leaders, bureaucrats, journalists and social activists and eminent citizen’s turned out to wish chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouha on the occasion of his 52nd birthday which coincided with Rangpanchmi on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister along with his wife Sadhna Singh visited the Bal Niketan orphanage in the Hamidia Road area of the state capital, where he distributed sweets to children.

During the visit, the chief minister interacted with Vikas, a resident of the orphanage suffering from a heart ailment, and also sanctioned funds for his treatment from his discretionary fund.

Interacting with the children, Chouhan said he would continue his association with the orphanage and visit the children from time-to-time.

Later, the chief minister and his wife visited Anand Dham – an old age home in the Shivaji Nagar area – and sought blessings from the elderly.
Commemorating the occasion, the chief minister and his wife distributed clothes to the inmates at the Anand Dham, run by Sewa Bharti.

Those extending birthday wishes to the chief minister on the occasion included Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur, Transport Minister Jagdish Deora, Finance Minister Raghavji, Forest Minister Sartaj Singh, Home Minister Umashankar Gupta, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, Minister of State for Energy Rajendra Shukla, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Ranjana Baghel, Minister of State for Technical Education Mahendra Hardia, State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar, vice-president Vijendra Singh Sisodiya and Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, organising secretary Makhan Singh, joint organising secretary Bhagwat Sharan Mathur, Bhopal Mayor Krishna Gaur apart from a host of others.

In the morning, Chouhan celebrated the dual occasion with visually-impaired students from the school run by Blind Association.
