CM calls on Union Heavy Industries Minister Shri Praful Patel

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on Union Heavy Industries and Public Undertakings Minister Shri Praful Patel in New Delhi today. Shri Chouhan urged the Union Minister to initiate necessary steps for timely completion of Shri Singaji thermal power project in Khandwa district and Satpura thermal power plant at Sarni. It is noteworthy that work of Shri Singaji thermal power project in Khandwa district and expansion units 10 and 11 of Satpura thermal power plant at Sarni has been entrusted to BHEL.
Shri Chouhan said that BHEL is already late by about one year in completing both thermal power projects as envisaged in the agreement. He expressed concern over shortage of manpower in both plants. He said that the State Government will extend every possible assistance to these projects. Union Minister Shri Patel assured Shri Chouhan that BHEL officers will be directed to complete both projects within time limit.
