Chh’garh Govt Sanctions Rehab Package of Bonded Labourers

For rehabilitation of bonded labourers liberated from different parts of the state, Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned a package of Rs 1.5 crore.

An amount of Rs 24 lakhs has been already released and provided to 125 labourers, said officials.

Under the Bonded Labour Rehabilitation Scheme, a labourer is provided with a financial assistance of Rs 20,000 of which State gives half the amount and the rest is paid by the Centre, they said.
