Central Team to Assess MP Drought Arrives

Bhopal: A central team constituted by the Government of India to assess drought situation in Madhya Pradesh arrived in the state on Monday.

The team, drawn from various ministries, is divided into three groups that are scheduled to tour the drought-hit areas of Sagar, Shahdol, Gwalior, Rewa and Chambal divisions on September 8 and 9, before assembling in Bhopal for a meeting to be chaired by chaired by chief secretary, Rakesh Sahni, on September 10.
