After Rajya Sabha, voices have now been raised in Madhya Pradesh Assembly as well against controversial reality show ‘Sach ka Samana’. Arguing that the show is “unhealthy for society”, BJP MLAs have asked the state government to stop its telecast.
Dhruv Narayan Singh of BJP raised the issue during Zero Hour, alleging that in the serial well-known persons were asked “obscene” questions. This is not healthy for the society, he said.
He sought the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to direct district collectors to stop telecast of the serial.
Another BJP MLA Uma Shankar Gupta said that this was a serious matter and the government should immediately stop the airing of the serial in the state.
The show is based on American show ‘Moment of Truth’ in which contestants are asked 21 questions, mostly embarrassing as they are personal in nature. Those who pass the polygraph tests become eligible to win up to Rs one crore in prize money.
