BJP Legislator, Brothers Booked for Attacking Party Leader in Shivpuri

For allegedly attacking party leader in Shivpuri, a case has been registered against a BJP MLA along with his three brothers, reported PTI citing police.

Devendra Jain, MLA from local Kolaras constituency, and his brothers Jitendra Jain, Dharmendra Jain and Sachin Jain were booked under relevant sections of the IPC for allegedly throwing burning crackers and then assaulting another BJP leader Alok Bindal, who was at his place last evening, said report citing police.

Police said that following the attack, Bindal, who was injured, ran out of his residence and took refuge in a close-by house and that MLA and his three brothers were booked after victim lodged a complaint, said report.

Also, there was complaint against Bindal from one Makhanlal Jatav, who alleged that Bindal has passed casteist remarks at him, said report.

Jatav also complained that Bindal had snatched some other things from Jatav, said report.

“We are investigating the complaint,” police was quoted as saying.
