Bhopal: Congress candidate from Bhopal Digvijaya Singh and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have come face to face on the issue of nationalism. Singh in a tweet on Monday said he had always been against people spreading communal hatred. He said he was proud having courage of putting ban on SIMI and Bajrang Dal.

“For me my country is above all and not the cheap politics,” said Singh. Former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan , addressing a public meeting in Khargone, said Kanhaiya, who raised the slogan of ‘Hindustan Tere Tukre Hongey’ is coming for election campaigning in support of Digvijaya Singh.

Chouhan alleged that Congress speaks language of traitors and it also favours them. During Singh’s tenure, recommendation to ban SIMI and Bajrang Dal was made to the Central government. SIMI was banned but there was no ban on Bajrang Dal.
