Bhopal Ijtema Concludes, Lakhs Raise Hands in Prayer for Peace

Bhopal — The Alami Tablighi Ijtema concluded at the Ghasipura Ijtemagah on the margins of the state capital where nearly lakhs of people joined in for prayers for peace and unity.

Maulana Sa’ad sahib of the Tablighi Markaz in New Delhi led the Dua that marked the conclusion of the Ijtema – the largest Muslim congregation in the country.

Tragedy Strikes

Though the 62nd Ijtema provided the devout with the opportunity to listen to some of the best Islamic orators in the country, memories of the congregation, however, will be marred by the tragic death of two youth that were electrocuted on their way back from the annual event.

Shoeb (15) and Saddam (17) were killed on the spot and four others were injured when a truck came in contact of a high-tension electricity line. Hitching a ride back into the city, the boys were sitting on the roof of the truck cabin at the time of the incident.

The four others, Taufique, Arman, Shamim and Zubair are undergoing treatment at the Hamidia hospital.

Meanwhile, another person identified as Abdul Bari a resident of Nagar Nigam colony in the Kaziq Camp area of the city died on way to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack after he saw the boys being electrocuted.

Visionmp.com offers heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
