Bhojpur Utsav to be held at Bhojpur on global-level: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhojpur Utsav held at historic Shiv temple at Bhojpur in Madhya Pradesh will be given global image. He assured every possible assistance by the State Government for this. Shri Chouhan was addressing Bhojpur Utsav on the premises of Bhojpur Shiv Mandir on the occasion of Mahashivratri today.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has been taken out of list of backward states. Now, it will be given the status of number one state in the country. Shri Chouhan said that for progress of the state, small industries will have to be set up in all the villages so that people of all sections of society can get adequate employment. He said that Madhya Pradesh government has made a provision of loan upto Rs. 25 lakh to youths to set up small industries. This scheme is going to be implemented from April 1. Referring to power, the Chief Minister said that all 53 thousand villages in the state will start getting 24-hour power supply from May this year. Referring to English as a compulsory subject in UPSC exams, Shri Chouhan opposed it. He said that language is not a test of ability, which can be exhibited through any language.
Culture Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma said that Bhojpur Utsav will be made more spectacular in view of its historic importance. He said that so much cultural works have been undertaken during eight years of the Chief Minister’s leadership that have not been done during last 55 years. Shri Sharma said that Culture Department’s budget has been increased 10 times more. He said that it is a matter of pride for Raisen district that three-day Bhojpur Utsav and three-day Mahabodhi Utsav are held here. The Culture Minister said that Buddhist University going to be established at Sanchi will a matter of pride for entire country. He also directed Raisen Collector to start necessary action for getting Bhojpur declared as a World Heritage. MLA Shri Surendra Patwa also addressed the function. On the first day of Bhojpur Utsav, famous singer Shri Kailash Kher sang Sufiana songs before a large audience.
