Airstrip to be constructed in every district of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: It has been decided to construct airstrip in every district of the state in following years. Upper age limit has been increased from 35 to 40 years for direct recruitments through State Public Service Commission. The upper age limit for women and reserved classes has been increased to 45 years. For the first time in the state, honorarium of freedom fighters and MISA detainees has been increased to Rs. 15 thousand from Rs. 6 thousand. This information was given by Minister of State for General Administration Shri Kanhaiyalal Agrawal at a meeting of the General Administration and Aviation departments’ Advisory Committee here today. Apart from members of the committee, Principal Secretary Aviation Shri Manoj Shrivastava and Principal Secretary General Administration Shri R.K. Chaturvedi were also present at the meeting.
MoS Shri Agrawal informed that apart from government land, private land is also being acquired for construction of airstrip at Singrauli district headquarters to promote industrialisation in the state. Similarly, airstrips have also been constructed in Mandla and Seoni districts to promote tourism. In the same series, air connectivity through small aircraft is being provided through Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation at Jabalpur, Gwalior, Indore, Khajuraho, Nagpur and Rewa for expansion of air service.
Shri Agrawal informed that mid-career training has been imparted to 30 senior officers of the State Administrative Service for the first time in the state through international-level training institutes like IIM-Indore as well as at Ahmadabad and Singapore. “Sushil Chandra Verma” award has been instituted to honour outstanding officers and employees. This scheme is in addition to Chief Minister’s Excellence Award.
Committee Member MLAs Engineer Ladduram Kori, Shri Purushottam Dangi, Shri Satyanarayan Patel, Shri Yashpal Singh Sisodiya and Shri Mev Rajkumar put forth important suggestions at the meeting. MoS Shri Agrawal directed to take prompt action on the suggestions.
Director Aviation Captain Sethi and officers of both the departments were present on the occasion.
