Adequate arrangements will be made for irrigation and education in tribal areas: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited tribal-dominant villages Khajuri, Dabri, Sankota and Itawa Khurd in Dongar belt of Budhni area in Sehore district today. He interacted with tribal villagers and made a number of announcements.

At village Khajuri, the Chief Minister said lot of the villages situated in this forest area will improve further. Adequate arrangements for irrigation and education will be made in the area. He announced to open a high school at Khajuri. The Chief Minister directed to provide water from Veerpur dam and explore possibility of stop-dam construction. Shri Chouhan said that existing Kolar Road will be turned into a glittering road. He announced to construct Mangal Bhawan and Society Bhawan at Khajuri and placing large tanks for removing drinking water crisis. He assured to ensure construction of 8 km long Khajuri-Amadoh road. He said that this road will be constructed by consent of the Forest Department. He announced to open Anganwadi at village Segaon, which was demanded by villagers.

The Chief Minister apprised senior citizens of Tirth-Darshan Yojana. He directed that applications should be received from senior citizens of Khajuri for this scheme. At villages Dabri, Sankota and Itawa Khurd, he directed the collector to take senior citizens to pilgrimage journey. Shaking hands with children, the Chief Minister congratulated them that now a high school is going to be opened in their village and they will no longer need to go to other places for pursuing education.

The public meeting burst into laughter when a villager grabbed the mike and first informed people of schemes being implemented by the Chief Minister in local dialect and then said, “Hamen To Ab Aisa Lagat Hai Jaise Hamai Shivraj Ban Gaye Hain” (It seems now that I have become Shivraj myself). Even the Chief Minister could not hold him from smiling. The Chief Minister directed to chalk out revenue map of Sankota. Shri Chouhan also gave away a cheque of Rs. 1.50 lakh to Shri Timlal Barela of village Amlapani.

Chief Minister’s announcements: Major announcements made by the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan included road and boundary walls of primary and middle schools at village Sankota, bridge between Rafiqgang and Lodri, CC Road at village Tikamod, Mangalik Bhawan and high school buildings at village Tikamod, piped water schemes, CC road, Mangalik Bhawan and Anganwadi building in Nayapura and Bagri. Similarly, he announced upgradation of middle school to high school at village Dabri, starting construction of road in Dabri within a month, deepening of 5 reservoirs in the area, and sanctioned funds for Dabri’s development and piped water scheme. At village Itawa Khurd, he sanctioned construction of Anganwadi building, culvert between village Dongalpani and Piplani and boundary wall of Itawa Khurd high school.

During his visit, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Forest Development Corporation Chairman Shri Guruprasad Sharma, Warehousing Corporation Chairman Shri Rajendra Singh Rajput, MARKFED Chairman Shri Ramakant Bhargava, District BJP President Shri Raghunath Singh Bhati and a number of other public representatives.
