Above normal rains in 47 and normal in 3 districts

Bhopal: Above normal rains have been registered in 47 and normal in 3 districts of the state since June 1. Balaghat, Anuppur and Singrauli districts have received normal rainfall.

According to information from Relief Commissioner’s office, home guards have safely evacuated 30 people of Rewa, who were stranded at Bombay Waalon Ki Dharmshala at Ramghat in Ujjain district. As per preliminary reports, 350 houses have suffered damage due to incessant heavy rains in July 3 and 4 nights in Barwaha tahsil of Khargone district.
Similarly, estimated figures of loss to human lives and cattle heads, houses/shanties and other damages have also been released. As per it, rains and floods have killed 6 people, 37 cattle heads, caused partial damage to 5468 houses and crops in 24 thousand 636 hectare in Sagar district and 2 people, 4 cattle heads and partial damage to 450 houses and other damages in Vidisha district. Meanwhile, 3 people each have been killed in Sehore and Khargone districts, 2 in Damoh and 1 each in Dindori and Bhind districts.
