4 workers injured after gas leak at Grasim Chemical Division of Birla Group in Nagda, Ujjain

An accident took place on Thursday at Udyog Grasim Chemical Division of Birla Group in Nagda, Ujjain. Here 4 laborers got burns due to gas leak. He was taken to Janseva Hospital. From here, 3 were referred to Indore due to critical condition. After the accident, the divisional team reached the factory for investigation.

Actually, maintenance of hydrogen pipeline was going on in the caustic plant in Grasim Chemical Division. Meanwhile, 4 laborers came under the grip of gas. In this Shriram (35) father Dilip, Govind (32) father Devilal, Rajesh Dhanak (27) father Shaligram Dhanak and Pragat Singh (57) father Mukhtar Singh were injured. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the team of Industrial Health and Safety Department reached Nagda in the afternoon itself. Here, after the accident, the officials of the industry switched off their phones. Media persons were stopped from entering by standing security guards at the gate of the industry.
