4 Killed, 2 Injured in Naxal Attack in Chh’garh

Raipur: In a naxal attack, four persons, two of them policemen, were killed and two policemen injured in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, said police

Pawan Dev, Director General of Police, said that Naxalites indiscriminately fired at the labourers engaged in road development work killing two labourers and two senior police officials.

In retaliation, police too opened fire on the Naxalites but no one was injured as they managed to flee from the scene, Dev said.

According to police, Naxalites were opposing the ongoing road work at Salmeta village as roads would deter them from laying landmines on hardened surface.

Additional police force was rushed to the site.
