28 services of 5 new departments brought under purview of Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act

Bhopal: Now, 101 services of 21 departments have been brought under the purview of Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act. Earlier, 52 services of 16 departments were notified under the Act. Now, 28 new services of 5 departments including Finance, Commerce, industries and Employment, Planning, Economics & Statistics, Housing & Environment and Higher Education and 21 new services of existing departments have also been brought under the Act’s purview taking the total number of covered services to 101. A notification to this effect has been issued.

As per the notification, 3 services of Finance Department, 7 of Commerce, industries and Employment, 7 of Planning, Economics & Statistics, 6 of Housing & Environment and 5 services of Higher Education department have been brought under the Act’s purview.
Services of the Finance Department brought under the Act’s purview include sending of pension, family pension cases to divisional, district pension offices in cases of submission of applications in prescribed proforma by pensioners, issuance of payment order after rectification of objections in pension cases and in case of receipt of orders to treasury officer, first payment of pension/family pension.
Services of the Commerce, Industries & Employment Department brought under the Act’s purview include reimbursement on expenses incurred on quality certification, sanction and distribution of term subsidy on loans, registration at employment exchanges, renewal of registration, giving endorsement on submission of memorandum under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act 2006 and issuance of NoC to identified non-polluting industries.
Similarly, services of the Housing & Environment Department brought under the Act’s purview include information regarding use of land under integrated development schemes, information regarding propose width of roads, consent to small industries under section 25/26 of Water (Pollution Eradication & Control) Act 1974 and section 21 of Air (Pollution Eradication & Control) Act 1981 and consent to major/medium industries, information about inclusion of a private land committed by board of the Authority or notified in any scheme under section 50 and giving objection/no-objection regarding development on the land by land owner.
Services of the Planning, Economics & Statistics Department brought under the Act’s purview include issuance of birth and death certificates, permission of registration after birth and death and issuance of marriage certificates.
Services of the Urban Administration & Development Department include providing new connection after deposit of money while services of the Energy Department include providing upto 10 kilowatt temporary connection on deposit of money in the areas whose present low-infrastructure does not require expansion.
Services of the Higher Education Department brought under the Act’s purview include issuance of nomination/migration certificates, provision degree, duplicate marksheets, correction in marksheet, name and surname, presenting research registration letter after disposal of all objects at meeting of research degree committee and awarding PhD after completion of research.
