Pune Blast Case: Samad Granted Bail

Pune German bakery blast suspect Abdul Samad has been granted bail by a Mumbai Sessions Court today on a surety of Rs 25,000, said media reports.

The court instructed Samad to provide his address and mobile phone details to the investigating officer, reports said.

Also, he was asked not to leave the country without court’s permission and that he has to deposit his passport with the investigating officer, said reports.

Samad was taken into custody on May 24 from Mangalore for allegedly supplying fire arms to three other accused last year.

In August 2009, three persons were arrested from south Mumbai for possession of illegal firearms which, according to the ATS, were supplied by Abdul Samad.
