MP to Observe RTI Week from October Six

Commemorating the completion of four years of enforcement of Right to Information Act on October 12, 2009, the Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to observe (October 6 – October 12, 2009) as RTI Week.

Relevant directives have been issued to all the heads of the department, divisional commissioners, collectors, chief executive officers of the district panchayats.

Under the Right to Information Week, programmes like workshops, lecturers, publicity campaign to create awareness about RTI among the people would be organized at district, tahsil and block headquarters.

The decision was taken in pursuance of the directives issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
