Every Citizen Responsible for Building a New India: CM

Bhopal  —  Describing Yoga guru Swami Ramdev as a modern-day Vivekananda, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the society will widely benefit from the human health safety campaign initiated by the yogi and added that Madhya Pradesh wishes to play a pivotal role in the New India movement launched by him.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the Food & Herbal Park of Patanjali Yogpeeth in the river bank city of Haridwar, Chouhan said that the onus to create a new India lies with every citizen of the country.

Congratulating the Swami on the first anniversary of the Bharat Swabhiman Trust, the chief minister noted that every individual carries an immense reserve of energy within the confines of his body and once that power is focused towards the attainment of a goal, nothing is impossible.

Speaking of the prevalent political culture, Chouhan observed that the country’s existing election system and ideologies of political parties seemed a little distorted and underlined the need for political outfits to be more sensitive towards the cause of the common man.

Chouhan announced that starting January 26 he will undertake a state-wide tour as part of the Swarnim Madhya Pradesh campaign, the central theme of his second term in office that aims at the inclusive and integrated development of the state.
