Varun Grateful for Party Support During Crisis

In his first meeting with the Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate LK Advani after release from Etah jail, Varun Gandhi has expressed his gratitude to the senior leader for having stood by him during his incarceration after being booked under NSA for his alleged hate speeches.

The party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Philibhit Varun was released on two-week parole from Etah jail in UP on Thursday.

According to party sources, during an hour-long meeting, Varun expressed his gratitude to the party for having stood by him “staunchly in his hour of crisis”. In the meeting, Advani also inquired about Varun’s campaign plans while also seeking detail about his experience in Etah jail.

It should be noted that Varun’s meeting comes ahead of his filing nomination for Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat on April 21, for which the last date of filing nomination is April 24 and polling will take place on May 13.
