UP Cong Chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi Granted Bail
In case of making derogatory remarks against UP Chief Minister Mayawati, state Congress chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi has been granted bail by a court in Moradad.
Judge Sudha Sharma, while granting bail, instructed Joshi to produce a person bond f Rs 20, 000 and two sureties of Rs 20, 000 each, said the defence lawyer KK Mannan
Joshi was granted interim bail on July 18, and she complied with the order and furnished the personal bond and two sureties.
It may be mentioned that the UPCC chief was arrested on July 15 for allegedly making unpalatable remarks against Mayawati.
She was booked under section 153 A (delivering inflammatory speeches) and section 109 IPC (using abusive language).
She was also booked under provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
