Two missing children found dead near Pragati maidan
New Delhi: Two siblings, who were kidnapped from their school three days ago, were found dead in a jungle on Saturday. The family of the children had received a ransom call. Their bodies were recovered from a jungle near Tilak Marg and Pragati Maidan.
Police said they were awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of the death.
Delhi tops the list of states where highest number of crimes against children is reported. Earlier on Thursday, a seven-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified man inside the North Delhi Municipal Corporation-run primary school in Mongolpuri’s L Block. The girl was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where a medical examination confirmed rape, after which the local residents staged violent protests in the locality as well as near the hospital.
