Three Held for Kandhamal Blast, Police Investigating Maoist Links

Orissa police on Monday detained three people in connection with a bomb blast at a rehabilitation centre in Kandhamal district which left one person dead on Sunday.

The trio is being questioned for suspected Maoist links, say media reports citing Kandhamal SP Praveen Kumar.

The seizure of four guns from the blast site had given rise to suspicions of Maoist links to the incident and those involved.

The police is yet to ascertain the identity of the person killed in the blast.
A forensic team visited the spot to determine the nature of the explosive used in making the bomb.
