Tech Snag Forces Badal Landing

A technical snag forced a chartered Bell 230 chopper ferrying Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal from Delhi to make an emergency landing in the Ferozepur district on Sunday.

The two pilots experienced “some difficulty” minutes before the scheduled landing in Jalalabad, and landed the chopper some 500 yards from the BSF helipad, the scheduled place of landing. No one was hurt in the incident.

Punjab Government has referred the incident to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for an inquiry.
