Suspected LeT Terrorist Sent to 14 Days Custodial Remand

A Delhi Court has sent a suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist arrested from New Delhi railway station to 14 days remand in police custody.

The Delhi Police produced Mohd Aslam alias Saleem before Metropolitan Magistrate Manish Yaduvanshi who sent him for custodial interrogation till September 9.

The prosecution, seeking police remand, contended that Aslma was reportedly carrying explosives in sweet boxes to to be delivered to his accomplices in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.

“He has disclosed names of his two associates who are still to be identified and located. He has links in Gujarat and Maharashtra,” public prosecutor Rajiv Mohan said.

According to information, Aslam was also alleged to have been involved in cases in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Accused is prayed for custodial interrogation for the purpose of obtaining further inputs. He is to be taken to Aurangabad.
