Slight Improvement in Ailing Jyoti Basu’s Condition

While still on partial ventilator support, the condition of CPI(M) patriarch Jyoti Basu is reported to be “slightly better compared to yesterday, but still critical” say media reports citing the medical bulletin released by doctors Sunday morning.

On Saturday, medics had described the condition of the 95-year old former West Bengal chief minister as deteriorating.

He has been undergoing treatment at the AMRI hospital Kolkata, since he was diagnosed with pneumonia January 1.
