PM Modi inaugrates New Parliament building

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament House on Sunday. PM Modi reached the new Parliament House at 7:30 am in Dhoti-Kurta. Bowed down to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, and then sat in the havan-pujan. Modi also offered flowers to Savarkar’s portrait in Parliament. Today is the birth anniversary of Savarkar.

First PM Modi prostrated to Sengol, then saints from Tamil Nadu handed it over to Modi. After this the PM installed Sengol next to the Speaker’s chair in the House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was also present on this occasion. During the programme, Modi honored the Shram Yogis, a Sarva Dharma Sabha was also held.

After the establishment of Sengol, PM Modi tweeted – Today is an unforgettable day for all of us countrymen. The new Parliament House is going to fill all of us with pride and hope.

MPs and guests were present in the House in the second session of the inauguration programme. He was shown a film on Sengol and the PM released a coin of 75 rupees.

After this, Modi’s speech took place. PM said- The workers have sweated in the construction of the new Parliament House. All of us parliamentarians have to make this building divine by our dedication towards our work.

The Prime Minister explained its importance in the midst of statements about Sengol. Modi said- In the Great Chola Empire, Sengol was considered a symbol of the path of duty, the path of service, the path of the nation. It is a good fortune that we have been able to restore the dignity of the sacred Sengol. Have been able to return his dignity. Sengol will continue to inspire everyone whenever the proceedings begin.

The new Parliament building has been boycotted by 20 parties including the Congress. The Prime Minister did not discuss it, but he said that the new Parliament House was the need of the hour. I am glad that the grand building is equipped with modern facilities. During this, the PM also recited a poem – A free motherland needs new leaves. New life is needed for the new festival. Free song is happening, new melody is needed.

The PM said- When we discharge our responsibilities honestly in this new building of the Parliament, the countrymen will get new inspiration. Now it is the responsibility of all of us MPs to make it more divine with our dedication. The resolve of all of us 140 crore Indians is the lifeblood of this new Parliament. Every decision taken here will empower the generations to come.

A light and sound show was organized at the new Parliament House at around 9 pm on Sunday night.

Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister appealed to everyone to give voice overs for the video of the Parliament Building. After this celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher lent their voices in this video. Modi tweeted and praised the voice over of Shahrukh and Akshay Kumar.
