Cycle rallies to be taken out for health awareness

Bhopal: In order to maintain health of children and women in the state, health awareness cycle rallies will be organized at village level on February 16, 2014 after district level cycle rallies. The Chief Medical and Health Officers, medical centers and health officers have been informed about it. It is noteworthy that district-level cycle rallies were taken out on large scale on February 2.

Principal Secretary Health Shri Praveer Krishna has informed that before organising the cycle rally on grand level, ASHA workers will be oriented on February 14. The role of the rural health centers has been made more active for the welfare of the rural people. Sector supervisors of Swasthya Gram Prahri Dal will be given short training before assigning duties to ANM and the male health officers for keeping record of the high-risk pregnant women, checking blood pressure, haemoglobin, test malnutrition of the children etc. ASHA Workers will be informed about referral of the high-risk cases of malaria, tuberculosis and leprosy. The rural centers will perform the duty of informing and creating the atmosphere for the arrangement of cycle rally on February 14, 2014. People will be invited for this rally.

Presidents of Gram Swasthya Samitis will start the cycle rally at 9 am from Gram Arogya Kendra on February 16, 2014. A pledge will also be taken before the rally. The rural anganwadi workers and assistants will participate in the function. The health field workers and the workers of Swasthya Gram Prahri Dal will also participate in this awareness programme.
