Govt. to purchase onion, farmers need not worry: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has reiterated state government’s decision to purchase onion from farmers at Rs. 6 per kg. He said that the state government stands by farmers in their hour of crisis. They should bring onion to procurement centres. Every single onion will be purchased. Farmers need not to worry.

Shri Chouhan said that this year there has been bumper production of onion due to which its prices have declined creating this unpleasant situation. Responsibility of onion procurement has been entrusted to MARKFED.
