Red Alert: Maoists Kill Seven in Jharkhand

Maoist rebels have gunned down seven persons within the span of a few hours in Ranchi and Latehar districts of Jharkhand.

Some 25 armed rebels stormed village Pundigiri in Ranchi district around 2230 hours on Sunday and knocked at the door of Subodh Kumar Gautam (40), a petty NREGA contractor before abducting him.

They also kidnapped Amit Singh Munda (24) and Sumit Singh Munda (25), Prahlad Sahu (30) and Gaur Singh Munda (32) from their homes and shot them at point-blank and killing them.

Later on Monday, the rebels killed Sajjad Khan and Dinesh Dusadh in village Chutwag in Latehar.
