Rathore Assaulted with Knife Outside Court, Condition Stable: Reports

Former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, who is undergoing trail for molestation of 14-year-old Ruchika Girhotra in 1990, has been assaulted by an unknown assailant outside a Chandigarh court, reported Times of India.

Report said that Rathore was stabbed 2-3 times by a knife and was soon rushed to a close-by hospital.

TV images showed injury marks on Rathore’s face and his condition is reported to be stable.

Police has arrested the assailant, said report.

Rathore was present in the court in connection with the hearing of the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case.

Earlier in the day, the court had ordered in-camera proceedings in the case.
