Qureshi to Meet Krishna with Open Mind
Ahead of UN General Assembly session, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that he is going to meet his Indian counterpart with an open mind.
While speaking to a private TV channel, Queshi said, “I am here with a constructive mind. I have instructions from the president to move on. We want to normalise ties with India. Let’s see how the meeting takes place. We are here to gain positively.”
In the meanwhile, India’s External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, while speaking to the same TV channel, stated basic Indian position ahead of his expected talks with Qureshi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
Krishna said that there was no question of giving Islamabad any space for taking face-saving measures on Hafiz Saeed. He had to be brought to justice for having masterminded the Mumbai terror attacks.
