Protesting Price Rise, Left Stages Walkout of LS

Protesting against rising prices, the Left parties today staged a walkout of the Lok Sabha, reported ANI.

Left MPs were demanding ‘White Paper’ from the government on the price rise situation, said report.

Also, Left parties are to hold a protest rally today to mount pressure on the Centre over the inflation, said report.

The Left maintains its stand for a cut motion during the Finance Bill debate and wants rollback of the Rs 3 fuel hike announced in the budget, report said.

The CPM had announced its intentions of bringing a cut motion immediately after hike in the fuel prices was announced, said report.

Congress has, however, made it clear that there will be no rollback of the hike.
