Mysterious Death of Women: Protest Enters Fourth Day in J&K

Protest over the mysterious death and alleged rape of two women by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir enters fourth day today continuing to disrupt normal life in the valley.

According to reports, angry protesters ambushed with security forces shortly after death of a youth who sustained injuries during demonstrations three days ago.

The youth was badly hit in a bid of security forces to disperse the mob of agitators  by a tear gas shell.

To disperse protestors who were pelting stones and bottles, the security forces had to resort to mild lathi charge.

In past three days protest, more than 70 people have been injured in the area.

In the meantime, the probe ordered by CM Omar Abdullah into the death of two women from Shopian, aged 17 and 22, whose bodies were found dumped in shallow water stream, is on.
 
The families of the women have accused the security forces of abducting, raping and subsequently killing them.

In support of their claim they said that the corpses bore marks of violence and that their clothes were torn.
