President Pranab Mukherjee’s 3-day visit to state from June 6

Bhopal: President Shri Pranab Mukherjee will arrive on a 3-day visit to Madhya Pradesh at Bhopal on June 6. President Shri Mukherjee will participate in various programmes. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to ensure that all programmes of the President including arrival and departure should be dignified and graceful. Shri Chouhan reviewed the preparations for the visit at a high-level meeting here today.

President Shri Mukherjee will arrive at Bhopal on June 6. He will be given guard of honour at Bhopal airport. The President will lay the foundation stone for Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya and inaugurate Tribal Museum at Bhopal on June 6. The same day, he will attend convocation of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. After attending dinner hosted at Raj Bhavan, the President will stay there overnight.
On June 7, the President will go to Jhoteshwar via Jabalpur by helicopter. Shri Mukherjee will inaugurate Shankaracharya Eye Hospital at Jhoteshwar. From there, he will reach Amarkantak by helicopter and attend convocation of Indira Gandhi Tribal University there. From there, the President will reach Jabalpur and then come to Bhopal by aircraft.
President Shri Pranab Mukherjee will go by aircraft from Bhopal to Indore on the morning of June 8. From the airport there, he will go to IIT Indore by helicopter and attend its convocation. Following this, the President will proceed from Indore to Gwalior by plane and inaugurate PC Ray Research Centre at ITM University Gwalior.
It was informed at the meeting that large-scale preparations are underway for all programmes of the President including arrival and departure. A grand and cordial reception will be accorded to the President in the state.
Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri I.S. Dani, DGP Shri Nandan Dube and other senior officers attended the meeting.
