New Delhi. Pakistan troops have temporarily replaced about 200 militants who were waiting to infiltrate, intelligence agencies told MHA.
New Delhi: Pakistan has pulled deeper into its territory 15 main terror camps operating close to the Line of Control, fearing retaliation by India after terrorists killed 18 soldiers in north Kashmir’s Uri on Sunday.
Intelligence and security agencies have also informed the Union home ministry that Pakistan troops have temporarily replaced about 200 militants who were waiting to infiltrate. The Pakistani establishment has cancelled leaves of its border guarding forces.
The Centre is closely monitoring the situation along the border and multiple agencies have been directed to collect all possible inputs.
Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and senior security officials. In another meeting, he met defence minister Manohar Parrikar.
The meetings reportedly decided to counter the increased presence of Pakistani troops by beefing up the strength of India’s Border Security Force in the Valley.
“About 10 to 15 terror camps have been either re-located or temporarily shut. About 200 militants have been sent back,” a senior official said.
