Pak to Release 100 Indian Fishermen

Around hundred Indian fishermen lodged in Karachi jail will be released on Wednesday and handed over to India, said reports.

The chairman of Ansar Burney Trust and Pakistan’s former federal minister for human rights, Ansar Burney, said that the fishermen would first go to Lahore in buses and would then be handed over to the Indian authorities at Wagah border the next day.

He said that he had raised the issue with officials in Pakistan some time ago and was grateful to them for considering the request for the release of Indian fishermen on humanitarian grounds.
