Opening LS Session Concludes

Marking conclusion of the opening session of the newly-constituted house, the Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die on Friday.

The budget session of the 15th Lok Sabha commenced on July 2.  Several bills, including two crucial legislations, were passed during the session.

The railway budget was presented on July 3 while the fiscal budget was tabled on July 6.

Proceedings were chaired by the country’s first woman Speaker Meira Kumar.
