Omar Calls for ‘People Friendly’ Security Measures

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday directed the security forces and police to employ “people-friendly” measures to maintain law and order and peace in the state.

“The police measures to maintain law and order and peace should necessarily be people-friendly,” said the chief minister chairing a combined unified headquarters meeting in Srinagar.

Omar stressed on the need for closer coordination and greater synergy between various security arms and the state police.

He said that peace was imperative for the pace of development and smooth implementation and timely completion of projects in the state.
