No Withdrawal of Support to UPA: SP

Continuing to pile-on to the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA), the Samajwadi Party, concluding a three day party convention in Agra, has ruled out immediate possibilities of withdrawal of support from the ruling amalgam.

While terming the Congress “opportunistic’, the conclave resolution slammed both the BSP state government in UP and the UPA and accused them of “anti-people” and “anti-national” policies.

The declaration affirmed that the party had supported the Congress-led coalition, in a crucial trust vote over the Indo-US nuclear deal, to defeat communal forces.
