No Input from Pak on Headley, Says PM

The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has said that there is no input from Pakistan on David Coleman Headley, who was arrested in Chicago by the FBI for plotting a major terror strike in India at the best of LeT.

Hours ago at noon, Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that the US security agencies informed India that Pakistan has links with the terror plot of the L-e-T busted recently in the US.

The minister said that Hedley, against whom the FBI filed affidavit in the court and who visited Pakistan several times showed the country’s links with the aborted plot which sought a large-scale terror attacks.

“There is a Pakistan link. Dave Headley visited Pakistan a number of times and I think on the advice of the FBI, two or perhaps more people have been arrested in Pakistan,” the minister told media persons in Hyderabad.

He made this statement in response to a question if there was any input on Pakistani link to the plot to attack the prestigious National Defence College in New Delhi in which Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana were arrested by FBI.

He said that two or more people have also been arrested in Pakistan in this connection on the advice of FBI.

Addressing EU summit, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that Pakistan has not provided any input on David Coleman Headley, who was arrested by the FBI for plotting a major attack in India at the behest of terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
