NCP state meet today

A day before the party holds the crucial next round of seat sharing talks with the Congress, The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) goes into a huddle at a state-level convention in Nashik, Maharashtra on Sunday.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar will address the meeting expected to be attended by hundreds of party workers from across the state, including key leaders like Praful Patel, RR Patil and Tariq Anwar.

The NCP has unleashed excruciating pressures on the Congress in an attempt to gain more in the coalition.

Ahead of a tough election and indications of a terribly hung parliament, the NCP demands 50 per cent of the seats in Assembly polls and a share of the Chief Minister’s chair.
