Naval Aircraft Crashes during Airshow, Pilot Dead

During an airshow in Hyderabad, an aircraft of a naval aerobatic team crashed on Wednesday, killing pilots and injuring four others on the ground, said media reports.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Khan said that the Kiran MK-II, the part of the ‘Sagar Pawan’ aerobatic team taking part in a display at the Indian Aviation show, crashed into a building, reports said.

“The pilot is dead. So far one building is damaged. We have to see how many people were inside it… Four persons have been injured,” he was quoted as saying.

Those who were injured were rushed to a hospital, said reports citing Khan.

Reports said quoting official sources that the cause leading to the crash was being found out.
