Molested UK Woman Complains of Humiliation in Court
Allegedly molested by a plumber who came to her apartment to fix a shower head last month, a 23- year-old British woman has complained to the Gujarat High Court Chief Justice about the “humiliation” she had to undergo in an open court during hearing of the case.
The woman, who is in Ahmedabad to attend a three-month internship with an NGO, made the complaint in a letter to Chief Justice KS Radhakrishnan on Tuesday, a day after she was reportedly asked embarrassing questions at a metropolitan court.
According to her lawyer, Meena Jagtap, the woman, in the letter, accused defense lawyer Sanjay Prajapati of humiliating her by asking her whether she smoked or consumed alcohol.
The woman’s plea for an in-camera hearing of the case has been accepted by the court.
