Meeting on Incursions Deferred
The government on Thursday deferred a meeting of top officials called by National Security Adviser MK Narayanan to discuss the situation along the Sino-Indian border.
The meeting was to be attended by the China Study Group, comprising of senior officials from the Defence, Home and Foreign Ministries.
The postponement was attributed to the recent “media hype” over Chinese incursions along the Sino-Indian border, a fresh schedule for the meeting would be finalized at a later date.
Chiefs of the three armed forces and the Intelligence Bureau were also to attend the meeting.
